From community fundraisers to corporate events, the Kern County Fair and Event Center offers a unique and versatile setting in the heart of Bakersfield.

Established in the early 1950s as the home of the county’s largest annual event, our 168-acre property is beautifully landscaped with tree-lined spaces that provide welcome shade on even the hottest days. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown and close to several hotels, the Event Center is easily accessible for guests and vendors alike.

Our facilities can host a wide range of events—from small gatherings of 50 to outdoor celebrations for more than 3,000. The grandstand accommodates up to 3,000 for concerts and 3,700 for rodeos, and the spacious carnival lot, theater, and open-air areas are ideal for festivals, car shows, sporting events, and family reunions. Indoors, our four rental buildings offer flexible space for wedding receptions, expos, seminars, and trade shows.
