Simple Salsa Workshop

Buy
Date: May 11 - May 13, 2026
Location(s):

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will explore how salsa goes from garden to table! Participants will learn about the ingredients that grow into a delicious salsa, like tomatoes, peppers, and herbs, then work together to create their own simple, fresh salsa. After tasting their creation, each attendee will take home a plant to start their very own salsa garden. Perfect for young gardeners and food lovers alike!

Plants were grown at the Bakersfield College School Garden.
Garden portion of the workshop (except Homeschool Class) will be taught by Stacey Jischke, Agriculture Technician, Bakersfield College.

*Children younger than 10 must have an adult with them to help.
