Is there handicap access at the Fair?
Special services to accommodate handicapped visitors to the Kern County Fair include access to restrooms and designated parking spaces in the fairgrounds parking lots.
Limited wheel-chair access facilities also will be provided for concert performances. Only persons requiring wheelchairs, plus ONE(1) attendant will be permitted in the Grandstand & Pavilion handicapped seating section. This service is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Are there ATMs located at the Fair?
Kern Schools Federal Credit Union ATM's are available during regular Fair operating hours and are located at:
Inside Building 1,
In Front of Buildings 2 & 3,
Inside Adult & Kiddie Carnivals,
Union Ave. Entrance,
and the Livestock Office
Is there a baby changing area?
The baby changing station is located in the Lost Children Center (South of Building 1). A nursing area and rest station for pregnant mothers are also available.
When does the carnival open?
The carnival is open during The Great Kern County Fair
Monday - Friday: 3:00PM - Closing
Saturday & Sundays - Noon - Closing
Is there a First Aid center?
A First Aid Center is available during regular Fair operating hours. The Center is staffed by certified EMT's in CPR and First Aid and located on KC Lane.
Where can I find my child if they are lost?
Lost Children Center is located south of Building 1. This service is provided by the Kern County Fair; it is a safe environment for found children to meet up with their lost parents. (661) 833-4937
When is the fair open?
Monday - Friday: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Friday (9/22): 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
Friday (9/29): 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturdays: Noon to 11:00 PM
Sundays: Noon to 10:00 PM
Where do I turn in entry forms?
You can drop your entry form in the gold mail slot to the left of the door marked ENTRY AND WILL CALL at the fairgrounds, you can fax entry forms to us at (661) 836-2743, you can mail your entry form to Kern County Fair Entry Department 1142 South P Street Bakersfield, CA 93307.
Can I get tickets in advance?
No, because the concerts are free with paid admission into The Fair, everything is first-come, first-serve. Be sure to arrive early for a better chance on getting seating.
How much does it cost to get into the fair?
Seniors (55+): $9.00
Children (6-12): $5.00
Children (5 and under): Free
Active & Retired Military: Free with Military ID
*Visa/MasterCard Accepted at all admission gates
