Kern County Fair

Is there handicap access at the Fair?

Special services to accommodate handicapped visitors to the Kern County Fair include access to restrooms and designated parking spaces in the fairgrounds parking lots.

Limited wheel-chair access facilities also will be provided for concert performances. Only persons requiring wheelchairs, plus ONE(1) attendant will be permitted in the Grandstand & Pavilion handicapped seating section. This service is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Are there ATMs located at the Fair?

Kern Schools Federal Credit Union ATM's are available during regular Fair operating hours and are located at:

Main Gate,
Inside Building 1,
In Front of Buildings 2 & 3,
Inside Adult & Kiddie Carnivals,
Union Ave. Entrance,
Grandstand,
and the Livestock Office

Is there a baby changing area?

The baby changing station is located in the Lost Children Center (South of Building 1). A nursing area and rest station for pregnant mothers are also available.

When does the carnival open?

The carnival is open during The Great Kern County Fair
Monday - Friday: 3:00PM - Closing
Saturday & Sundays - Noon - Closing


Is there a First Aid center?

A First Aid Center is available during regular Fair operating hours. The Center is staffed by certified EMT's in CPR and First Aid and located on KC Lane.

Is there a Lost & Found?

Lost and Found is located in the Information Booth

Where can I find my child if they are lost?

Lost Children Center is located south of Building 1. This service is provided by the Kern County Fair; it is a safe environment for found children to meet up with their lost parents. (661) 833-4937

Where can I have a Taxi pick me up?

Taxi service pick-up & drop-off zone is located on South P Street near Gate 27 (enter off of Belle Terrace).

When is the fair open?

Monday - Friday: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Friday (9/22): 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
Friday (9/29): 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturdays: Noon to 11:00 PM
Sundays: Noon to 10:00 PM

If I need to leave the fairgrounds, am I allowed to come back in later that day?

Yes, but make sure that you receive a hand stamp at an exit gate BEFORE leaving. * There is no parking return though, so if you leave the parking lot, you must pay to park again

Where do I turn in entry forms?

You can drop your entry form in the gold mail slot to the left of the door marked ENTRY AND WILL CALL at the fairgrounds, you can fax entry forms to us at (661) 836-2743, you can mail your entry form to Kern County Fair Entry Department 1142 South P Street Bakersfield, CA 93307.

Concerts

How much are tickets for concerts at the Budweiser Pavilion?

Tickets are FREE with paid admission into the fair.

How can I get a seat at the concert?

All seating is first-come, first-serve.

How can I get VIP seating?

There is no VIP seating available.

Can I get back into the concert if I leave?

Yes, but you must receive a stamp at the exit aisle before leaving the show.

Is there handicapped seating available at the concert?

Yes, there is handicapped seating available. Each handicapped person is allowed ONE (1) attendent to sit with them. Handicapped seating is first-come, first-served.

What time can we go in and sit at the concert?

Gates to enter the Budweiser Pavilion will open approximately an hour before the concert begins.

Are cameras allowed inside the concert?

No professional cameras will be allowed. Cell Phones and point and shoot cameras WITHOUT flash are permitted.

Selfie Sticks are NOT allowed at concerts.

Is there a Meet & Greet?

Decisions for Meet & Greets are made by the Entertainer and their management. Not the Fair.

Can I get tickets in advance?

No, because the concerts are free with paid admission into The Fair, everything is first-come, first-serve. Be sure to arrive early for a better chance on getting seating.

Can I buy tickets online?

Absolutely! Click on the "Buy Tickets" button on the homepage.

How much does it cost to get into the fair?

Adults: $12.00
Seniors (55+): $9.00
Children (6-12): $5.00
Children (5 and under): Free
Active & Retired Military: Free with Military ID
Parking: $10.00

*Visa/MasterCard Accepted at all admission gates

Can I pay for my admission and ride wristband with my credit card?

Yes, we gladly accept Visa and MasterCard.

Is there an additional ticket or charge to see the stage shows at the fair?

All shows are included with your gate admission into the fair.*

*PRCA and Fiesta Rodeo events sold separately ( You can buy presale tickets to the rodeo by clicking the link under "Buy Tickets" or "Rodeo Events"

Can I get a refund on my ticket?

We're sorry but there are no refunds on tickets.

Prohibited Items

Can I bring pets to the fair?

No pets are allowed at the fair except service animals with proper documentation.

Can I bring food or drinks into the fair?

No, outside food or drinks are not allowed.

Am I allowed to tailgate?

No. Tailgating is prohibited ON and OFF the grounds.

Am I allowed to bring a cooler (ice chest) onto the grounds?

No, coolers are not permitted on fair grounds.

Where will I park?

There is plenty of parking available at the Fair. We have 3 public lots.

Is there a charge for parking?

Yes, there is a $10.00 fee.
